Skull-A-Day

Skull-A-Day

Just in time for Halloween, Bryan, who is my friend and my boss all in one, sent me a link to this awesome blog. While skulls really aren’t my thing, variations on a theme sure as heck are! So, naturally, it was love at first site. (Pun totally intended.)

Skull-a-Day is just what it sounds like it is. The three-year old blog began as creator Noah Scalin’s mission to create a skull a day for a year.
The “(Insert Activity) Every Day for a Year” theme  is a popular one among blogs. Have you seen “Julie and Julia”? And I admit, in its earliest days, Bouncing Around the Blogosphere was a daily endeavor as well, but that was short-lived. It just became too forced to find a good blog to blog about each and every day. It just feels more genuine to wait until I get that “ooooh” feeling to post something.

Whatever you do, don’t miss Noah’s original skulls, which are neatly archived on the right side of the page. It’s pretty remarkable to see all the different kinds of skulls he’s created out of almost every imaginable material and medium: toast, plumbing, sparklers, soap bubbles.

Some of the skulls featred are “Found Skulls,” which are accidental skull sightings in things like clouds, concrete or food.
